13X molecular sieve

13X molecular sieve

13X molecular sieve is an alkali metal aluminosilicate with a pore size of 10 angstroms (1 nanometer), and it is a sodium ion X-type molecular sieve. Due to its internal structure containing numerous 10-angstrom crystal adsorption cavities, it can adsorb molecules with a diameter smaller than 10 angstroms while not adsorbing any molecules with a diameter greater than 10 angstroms. It can be used as a catalyst support, for co-adsorption of water and carbon dioxide, and for co-adsorption of water and hydrogen sulfide gases. It is mainly applied in the drying of pharmaceuticals and air compression systems, offering higher adsorption capacity and lower dew points.

    Advantage

Selective Adsorption Characteristics: 13X molecular sieve can selectively adsorb molecules smaller than its pore size. This selective adsorption property makes it highly useful for specific applications. For example, with a pore size of 10 angstroms, 13X molecular sieve can adsorb any molecule larger than 3.64 angstroms and smaller than 10 angstroms. This makes it suitable for applications such as catalyst support, co-adsorption of water and carbon dioxide, and co-adsorption of water and hydrogen sulfide gases.

Wide Range of Applications: The application scope of 13X molecular sieve is extensive, primarily used in drying pharmaceuticals and air compression systems. Additionally, due to its excellent adsorption properties, 13X molecular sieve plays a crucial role in the drying of petroleum, natural gas, and other liquid hydrocarbons. As industrial development progresses, the demand for 13X molecular sieve continues to increase, presenting a promising marke outlook.

Good Quality Assurance: In the market, 13X molecular sieve offers a range of selectivities, but the price of high-quality products tends to be stable. Therefore, it is crucial to choose high-quality products. When comparing prices based on quality, the price fluctuation of 13X molecular sieve of similar quality is generally minimal, providing consumers with a relatively stable choice.

    Precautions for use

Pay Attention to Operating Conditions: When using 13X molecular sieve, it is important to control operating conditions such as temperature and pressure to avoid affecting its performance.
Regular Regeneration: 13X molecular sieve gradually loses its adsorption capacity during use, so it needs to be regularly regenerated to restore its performance.
Storage Precautions: Store 13X molecular sieve in a dry, well-ventilated environment, avoiding direct sunlight and exposure to rain to prevent performance degradation.

Activation Before Use: New 13X molecular sieve contains moisture and should be activated before use by heating with hot process gas to remove the moisture. Typically, an activation temperature with an outlet temperature reaching 180°C is sufficient. For aged molecular sieves, the activation temperature can be slightly increased, but it should be gradually raised based on production and usage effects, such as from 180°C to 250°C.

Control the Activation Process: During activation, it is essential to control the temperature, gas flow, and activation time to ensure that the performance of the molecular sieve is restored to its maximum extent.
